1) Being able to pick up and go, more or less at will, gives one a
sense of independence and freedom.
2) Travel is important to expose oneself to others ideas and to
share ones own; and to establish and maintain friendships near and far.
This is critical for the cause of world
peace.
3) It is important not to become "provincial". It's important to be
citizens of the world; to view the world as ones home and all others as
ones "brothers and sisters."
